Simple steps to credit repair

Getting denied for a loan or for housing because your credit score is less than perfect is a situation none of us want. Sadly, many of us do face with this stressful situation.

But there is hope for ANYONE who has a poor credit score!

Sunshine Hill Credit Repair & Financial Education can help you! Don't put up with a bad credit score anymore, but also don't think it necessarily takes years to repair.

Why do I care about your credit score?

Because I've been there, suffered that, and don't want anyone else to have to go through it, especially now that I have tools that can help you!

It's a bit of a read, but let me tell you my story, so you understand how my past frustrations drive me to help you!

Total time in my car...

I lost full custody of my son at 3 years old because after my divorce, I didn’t have a place to live, or a real job. I lived in a van I bought for $500. I dumped the back seats and created a little apartment for myself. I brushed my teeth from a water bottle, bathed with baby wipes, when I needed to wash my hair I took a cold shower at the gym, and lived off of peanut butter sandwiches. I got a job working for a man as a personal assistant when I moved to Los Angeles to follow my dream of being an actress. After working for him for a few months, he stopped paying me and the apartment I had applied to live in kept my deposit when I couldn’t pay the rent anymore. I was back in my car sleeping on the side of the road. I did find a new job, and finally was able to rent the living room as a bedroom from a lady (that I’m still friends with to this day). Total time in my car – 13 months.

Identity theft

After several years, I was able to get my own apartment. This great little one bedroom in Hawthorne, CA for $850/mo. That's SUPER cheap if you don’t know Los Angeles. I loved it. I could finally have my son over for the summer. He was about 6 years old now. I got him a sofa bed to sleep on in the living room and my dreams were coming true. But then, suddenly Identity Theft happened that rendered me NEGATIVE $20,000 and my credit shot down to 400. My social security number was flagged. My bank accounts were shut down and I couldn’t even cash a check when I got paid from work. I couldn’t buy food for my son because I didn’t have cash on me. I couldn’t pay my rent, or any of my bills since everything was done electronically which threatened me being back out on the street and put my bills into severe late payments or collections. I rented my living room out to a roommate (just like I lived in earlier) and shared my room with my son when he was in town. BUT at least, I wasn’t back in my car, and I was able to catch up on back rent and back car payments to keep my car from being repossessed.

It took me 2 years to get my credit up to a 620. I was making pretty good money bartending. And when my mother passed, I was blessed that she left me $200,000 that she had worked her whole life to give me and my brother. I decided that I wanted to buy an apartment, so I didn’t have to rent anymore. But when I went to get a mortgage, I was denied because of all the derogatory remarks still on my credit report even with almost 50% to put down. I was heartbroken. I was mad. I was doing everything right, and there wasn’t anyone that wanted to help or give me a chance.

How I lost $500,000

That apartment today is worth more than $1,000,000. So, not being able to fix my credit properly cost me not only the half a million dollars I could have made by owning my home, but around another $200,000 I threw away in rent paying my landlord's mortgage instead of my own for the next 7 years. I’m finally a homeowner now. I was 40 years old when I bought my first home. It was hard. I STILL had ONE 90 day late payment on a student loan that I got asked about from that experience!

Nothing worthwhile comes easy

I can’t promise you easy, but what I can promise you is that you have someone on your side that cares. You have someone on your side that wants to see you achieve your goals and materialize your dreams. I can promise you the tools and the education you need, the helping hand, and the support system to encourage you to make it all the way to homeownership or whatever your dream may be.
